What is Bone ShibaSwap (BONE)?
BONE is the governance cryptocurrency of the ShibaSwap, a DeFi platform of the Shiba ecosystem. It gives its owners the right to vote on the upcoming network proposals and which token pairs to add to ShibaSwap. The vote weightage of BONE holders depends directly on the number of BONE tokens they own. The total supply of BONE tokens, set to fit perfectly between the circulation supply of other ShibaSwap tokens (SHIB, LEASE), is 250,000,000.
BONE also acts as the entry pass to the bury (staking) and dig (liquidity providing) programs of ShibaSwap. Owners of BONE can bury (stake) their BONE tokens in ShibaSwap to get tBONE in return as a representation of their share in the staking pool. They can also use their BONE tokens to dig (provide liquidity) in the ShibaSwap to get Bone-ETH SSLP tokens. TBONE and Bone-ETH SSLP tokens are used to calculate the reward proportion of BONE owners participating in the aforementioned programs.
BONE will also act as the native gas token in the upcoming Layer 2 Shibarium blockchain of the ShibaSwap ecosystem.
