What is STEPN (GMT)?
GMT (Green Metaverse Token) is the governance token of STEPN, a Web3-based lifestyle app that rewards its users for daily activities and moving around. Along with GMT, STEPN also has a game token called GST (Green Satoshi Token) that it gives to users playing Level 0 to Level 29 of STEPN games. Once the users reach level 30, created by STEPN, they can choose between continuing to earn GST or switching to earn GMT tokens.
The GMT token not only works as the governance token in the infrastructure of STEPN but also acts as the platform currency to buy STEPN Sneaker NFTs. It has a fixed supply of 6 billion. STEPN imposes various burning mechanisms to maintain the GMT supply, such as sneaker repairing, sneaker leveling up, and sneaker minting.
