Deep web VS Dark web

The terms "dark web" and "deep web" are frequently used interchangeably, but they are two distinct concepts. In short, the deep web contains internet content that cannot be found through search engines, whereas the dark web is a secret network that requires a special search engine to access.

The deep web refers to all pages that are not indexed, meaning they will not be returned to you after a search. Because search engine crawlers do not 'find' these pages, and are effectively invisible to these search engines.
To obtain any of these pages, you must either know their exact address or click on another link once you've entered the deep web. Moreover, because they are tailored for users, and not all URLs are meant to be indexed, the deep web can include significant portions of the legitimate, mainstream web (such as Netflix or Amazon pages).

The dark web is an even deeper layer: it is a part of the deep web (which means it is unavailable unless you know exactly where to go), but it is focused on illegal activities and services. It can be extremely gruesome. Some refer to it as the location where humanity's darkest side emerges. The dark web is a marketplace for various drugs, fire weapons, a mirror of the wiki portal, a few rare books, and so on.
